ABOUT US

The internet can be a bit of an anonymous place to do business and you can never really know the people you are doing business with from reading a few words. So we thought we would introduce ourselves to you and tell you a bit about who we are and what drives us. We have both been members of ‘The British Association of Therapeutical Hypnotists’ since 1985 Jean was the secretary for many years and for eight years I was the chairman. As qualified hypnotherapists our aim has always been to help people to resolve their psychosomatic problems, overcome phobias, relieve stress and defeat addictions.

My partner Jean Murton and I founded our practice in 1981, My name is Morton Healey. For the last 25 years we have been practicing at a our centre; ‘The Belmont Centre’ in Ramsgate, Kent.
Ten years ago Jean started a training course for those who wished to practice as hypnotherapists.
The training course is a one year course and requires students to attend a full weekend once a month, mandatory homework is set which must be presented for marking each attendance.

This course has been very successful. Of those who passed the final qualifying exam, 79% are practicing successfully – 46% practicing full time and 33% part-time.

In addition to her teaching Jean also does one-to-one therapy as well as traveling worldwide presenting seminars and workshops. She is the official trainer for the British Association of Therapeutical Hypnotists and her course is accepted by the Hypnotherapy Association; International medical & dental Assoc.(USA); National Council For Hypnotherapy; Hypnotherapy Society.

I no longer practice full time on one-to-one therapy but occupy my time in research and writing.
